FACTIONS
As Temüjin is set roughly during the lifetimes of Yesugei and his son Temüjin - today known as Genghis Khan ( 1162 - 1227CE ), the 24 factions of this mod are designed to reflect the (predominantly) Asian powers that the Mongols interacted with, both first as a subject people and then later as a conquering horde, as well as others over a timespan from the 1130s to the late 1220s CE, being:
Most factions - especially the smaller ones or those facing internal problems - often use the classic Kings & Conquerors tech tree system first laid down by Tony Shaw (super7700). However, this tech tree system is not the only one in use - one building from Rise of Kings - namely, the Nobles' Court, as well as the Warrior Hall - an addition from the Warbirth series - are also extant.
Some factions (ie, Nan Song, Minyak, Mongols) will rely on that of Kings & Conquerors (viz using Mansions and Warrior Halls to create a vast army across their empire) but other nations, most notably major powers with a more feudalised structure such as the European nations - Russians, Hungary and Poland - all have access to the Rise of Kings family instead, by using the costlier but more powerful Nobles' Court to stiffen the resistance of their largest cities, and recruit their best units.
